This is an image i took of my friend while we were in the gym. The reason for this is due to the gym being a big part of my childhood, it was a place were me and friends would gather and motivate each other, the gym was attached to my home so i consider it fits with the brief. To take this picture me and my friend went to re live a closed chapter in ours lives and did what we used to all those years back, i took this picture mid session with slow shutter speed to create blur effect as if he was in motion in the image.. I then brought the image into Lightroom and added a vignette to bring more focus to the subject.

Next i took a picture of my living room whilst most of my family were over as i felt this would best describe my interpretation of home, and that i feel family is a large part of what makes a home. I took this picture during mid conversation whilst they were unaware of the photo, i felt this would best describe a family setting in a home rather then making them pose, showing the characteristics of each individual in the image.

I then took a picture of my dog, i feel a dog is a large part of what my home is. My d0g’s are constantly around to keep you company and are always happy no matter what, i never leave my house feeling upset after seeing my dogs. To take this picture i wanted to best show that she was always smiling, and so holding a treat up behind the camera dig the trick. I used natural lighting for this image as i didn’t want to hurt the dogs eyes and i wanted to capture her in a somewhat natural setting. After bringing this image into Lightroom i added a sharpen to higher the quality.
This is another image of my other dog, i took two images as i feel each one brings something different to the home, the first being the quite but devious one and this one being the dopey one. This dog is constantly happy despite difficulties in her life with previous owners and you always stop to laugh when she gives you her funny stare. These dogs are a large part of my home and it wouldn’t feel the same without them. To take this image i again used the treat behind the camera trick in order to make her look at the camera, i then used natural lighting and brought the image into Lightroom where i increased the brightness and added a vignette.

Next i took a picture of my friend sat on a wall, this is because a large part of my childhood involved sitting around and just being social as there was not much for us to do as kids, we would often gather up a few friends and sit around until we found something to do, i feel this relates to home as it was a large part of my childhood growing up and we would often gather on the wall outside my house. I enjoyed taking this picture as i found i could experiment with the depth of field along the wall. After bringing this image into Lightroom i added a orange/yellow colour correction as i felt it added warmth to the image due to it being outside and i wanted to portray that this often happened in summer.

Lastly i took an image of my car breaking down whilst we were on the way home, i felt this image would fit the brief as all we wanted to do at this point was be home and instead we were stuck for hours waiting for help. After taking this image i then brought into into Lightroom and added a vignette as well as a slight greyed effect.
